The Bound Two series continues to explore the tenuous relationship between structure and form. I was interested pushing the limits of the clay, making it thinner and thinner until each piece requires another to maintain structural integrity. The wire and leather are minimal interventions that are essential to the integrity of the work. Nothing is superfluous.
