Burnt

Living in California puts me in direct contact with abundant beauty and fragility of the surrounding landscape. That fragility struck literally close to home during a summer surrounded by intense wildfires.

Inspired by the the cycle of destruction and rebirth, I pound, rip and stretch the clay, tugging at its inherent resiliency to transform into something new.
